Killer Genos theory has become more likely now!!
A fan theory was getting especially popular towards the second half of 2021, "the Killer Genos theory" which proposed that Saitama's final nemesis would be his beloved student Genos. Theory says that the mad cyborg that destroyed Genos's city will turn out to be Genos himself, this sudden realization will make his mind to get drown in immense emotions, and will make Genos go through monsterification and become "The Killer Genos".
The facts that supported this theory was that Genos was very eager to gain power at the cost of anything and everything, from the start of the series. This was evident by the fact that he was using the parts of the enemies he has defeated to update his cyborg body. What if these updations were a catalyst to this monsterification? What if the parts weren't really ripped out of there villainous nature? All these stuff along with the intense emotional imbalance caused by the sudden revelation makes Genos go berserk.
But now you must be thinking, isn't this theory fully busted as Genos has died at the hands of Garou and God is still being portrayed as the final Boss? Yes Genos is dead right now, but is he dead forever? There are actually two sides about Genos's revival, some fans firmly believe in his return while some don't.
Now let's talk about how the Killer Genos theory is still relevant. We saw that Genos's core, which was very important for his survival, was plucked out of him by Garou. Lets assume that they cannot repair that core and they need a new power source to make a new core. According to some fans, Blast must be having something which can be called an intergalactic power source, which was secured from a villain he fought long back ago. As it took the whole team along with Blast himself to defeat this villain, the power source grants his user, powers that are many times greater than Blast himself. Dr. Kuseno uses this power source to revive Genos making him several times more powerful than the whole hero association combined.
But this theory has a major flaw! Blast would never allow a single being to gain so much power, as it can become a threat to every living being in the universe. Although I have a possible solution to make this flaw go away!
Blast is convinced by the hero association to use Genos as a vessel for this power source, but somehow this power source will be attached to a limiter that won't allow the vessel to use its full powers, and as the vessel won't be exposed to the fact that he has such a power source inside it, it won't try anything funny. Blast accepts this with the condition that Genos will work with him after his revival, so that he can keep a close watch on this power source and its vessel. Blast also takes into account that, he and his team has defeated a villain who has been using this as his source of power, and as the team has grown more powerful they can easily defeat Genos if something funny happens.
What's your take on this Crazy Theory? Do you see it happening or do you have something else in mind?
